"One of the nation's biggest banks, JP Morgan Chase, admits it has overcharged several thousand military families for their mortgages, including families of troops fighting in Afghanistan. The bank also says it improperly foreclosed on more than a dozen homes belonging to military families."

Banks don't care who they foreclose on, if you think so you've got way too much faith in your fellow man.

Seeing how the national average for days past due before the forclosure sale is pushing 500 days....I don't feel bad for people that are going to valid legitimate foclsure sales....seeing a bank publically admit and error, owning up to it and mailing out 2mil in refunds...it's a stand up move. The housing bubble burst is not soley on the banks for blame...deregulation of the mortgage industry and the goverment pushing more and more banks to lend to unqualified borrowers under the community reinvestment act created much of the problem.
