The poem "The Rainbow Bridge" made me break down. I know she's running and playing with Rambo. I just pray I'm the one she misses. I sure miss her. I have her beautiful pup Kadie Jean who reminds me so much of her mother. That picture of the two dogs is the two hands.

Well, going on year 3 since I lost him - time to hoist another shot to my boy.
It's gotten somewhat easier over the years, but still have time I profoundly miss him.

The original post I made about his Lar Par has now gotten over 13000 views and I've been able to reach out and hopefully help at least a couple dozen folks going thru the same thing with their best friends. Rambos awesome legacy continues and makes me proud of him even still!

    RIP Rambo

It's a real mo fo for sure. I turn 50 next month. My boy Jake is the 1st dog that's all mine even though I've had dogs my whole life. Yes, without a shadow of a doubt, the best dog on the planet. The day will come... It's a real mo fo.

    Cheers Rambo!

Well been over two since my BEVO passed from cancer.
Still think of the ol guy and visit his final place when I am visiting the folks since he is interned on the spread.

Charli (white) is 9 now and I am NOT looking forward to the day.
Just added this dummy (hard headed stubborn but learning) to the fold
Saved from death row at shelter in Houston about a month ago.

Absolutely so sorry for your pain - I had to have my German Wirehair Pointer of 15 years put to sleep last October, just crushed me! Since then I feel really empty, like a better part of me is gone; it just not time yet for another dog.
Its not easy, but Bailey could not walk and quit eating - it was her time.

Wildone - thank you for your kind sentiments.

I understand only too well where you're at right now.

I got Maddy the last year Rambo was alive, and although I haven't let myself open up to her..I'm glad to have her with me and as a companion.

There's so many dogs out there that could use a loving owner such as yourself.

I truly hope you find some peace - and make it to a place where you can bring another dog into your life.

    Dan

    One will FIND YOU.
You will know when he/she does.
    Dont "look"'for one

How all mine have come to be.
Was Never "looking" for another dog.
Charli was "found" through a rescue group my sister works with.
Was sent picture and "knew" had to save her.

    Same thing with "Astro" recently.
Best ones find you. And come from "the street" also know as the shelter.
