Interesting rifle from Remington. It's a pump action .223!

Saw this rifle noted in the current NRA, American Rifleman magazine.

Basically a Remington 870 modified to accept AR-15 mags

I wanted one at first, but then I came to my senses since I have better ways to put .223s down range 8)

    Still, it's interesting

That would make a real nice truck/utility gun.

I've been considering a .223 caliber rifle for the increasing coyote population just because the .223 ammo is so plentiful and cheap. I'm not really interested in an AR or even a Mini-14. I think I'll keep looking for a bolt gun.

It looks like a pretty good peice that I could get away with some modifying in california because it's a pump rifle and not a semi-auto.

The whole idea behind this weapon is it gives LEOs that use 870 shotguns a weapon that is setup just like the shotgun, but shoots rifle rounds...Gives them the firepower of a rifle round in a weapon they are already familiar with using.

Me got the original Remington pump action, the Model
760 in .223 caliber. Only about 1100 made back around
1980 or so. Mine is 95% plus. They don't make the mags
for it anymore and they cost an arm and a leg. I bought
two mags out of Shotgun News and paid $80 each from a
    private source. Ouch!!

Interesting, but I am holding out for Taurus' Thunderbolt pump rifle in 357 mag. It will be less expensive, in a caliber that won't require hearing protection and have their lifetime warranty. Besides, its "cowboy cool" and that counts for something!

because they know you will pay that for one...lol What would be really cool to turn that into a good ranch rifle is if you could get it to take the 30 round AR mags. :D

It will take the 30 rounders! or any AR-15 M-16 mags!

how about one of these to work your arm muscles!

100 rounds as fast as you can pump and pull the trigger......ouch!

Would that be the firearms equivalent to "spanking the monkey"?
