I know these two military terms, SNAFU and FUBAR, but what does FIGMO and BOHICA mean?
Not military, but I've heard them before:
Bohica: Bend Over, Here It Comes Again
FIGMO: F-It, (I) Got My Orders (I think that's it)
ETA: Found something online, I guess I was close to right: http://aboutlanguageschools.com/language/slang/military-slang.asp#f
That's how I remember it. You posted a copy of your Orders on your door, and you were automatically exempt from dorm duties like common area clean up.
fubar = f______ up beyond all recognition
Great list cougar. They must be military acronym's, because they are on this site: http://www.priorservice.com/otherpins1.html
We used to use Repair also.
I'm not gonna hijack this thread, but I'll start a new one on a great Navy expression that Top Gun ruined: Screw the Pooch.
Separate names with a comma.
