I'm currently in the process of applying for my FFL 03 so I just wanted to include some information and links I have found during my research to obtain this license.

Here's a few links to help explain the process..

    http://www.cruffler.com/becomingcruffler.html

    Getting your C&R FFL

Find the necessary ATF forms here:

    ATF Online - Forms - ATF F 5310.16 Instructions

To get them mailed to you: Distribution Center Order Form

Edited to include updated links -Thanks to vaderdaman for the updated info.

I'm sure it will be, I finally got a house so I figured the next best thing would be the C&R to go with it! :)

Wait, how does a C & R help you save from FFL fee's? I've seen websites put C & R eligible on their site, does this mean they can ship it direct to you without an FFL?

If the firearm is a C&R and you have a C&R FFL then yes it will be shipped directly to you.

How does that work with Midway? I sent them a copy nearly a year ago but never got any sort of acknowledgement. Not sure how you are supposed to see the discount on their site. Maybe I will have to send it to them again I guess.

The basic rule is anything that is 50 year or older. 1959 would be the cut-off right now. Newer guns like the Makarov's, Tokarev's, etc are exempt as Curios.
The C&R section on GunBroker is a good place to browse.
