How Lightning fan outwitted petty HOA over playoff sign - Puck Daddy - NHL Blog - Yahoo! Sports
I love it! I hate HOA's...
Side note. I also hate southern states that have a better hockey team than mine. What up with that? Fan base can not be that great?
That is awesome. How much is "Go Bolts Security" a month? Is is comparable to ADT?
The price of a season ticket package for the Lighting. If their season tickets are priced any thing like season tickets to the MN Wild, you're better off with ADT.
Shoulda busted that lady's camera!
That is classic! HOA have nothing better to do? I bet you there is a house with 4 foot tall weeds in the yard and is painted purple that has not recieved one letter.
why would people volunteer to live under yet one more layer of government, this one fill by nose busybodies with nothing better to do. City Ordinances are bad enough.
Didnt we get your team?
Just about every neighborhood in FL has them now unfortunately. In most of these places you can't take a dump without permission.
I can honestly say I'm glad for the HoA in the community I live in. The only time I ever got a complaint is when I did really have 2 foot tall weeds in the yard (we just moved in and I was gone for tdy). Things have to get pretty far gone for them to complain at all. The part I like about it is our free gym, multiple pools, water park, lake stocked with fish and regular free community events. A lot of HoA's really do not offer anything at all except you paying for their right to tell you what to do. I'm quite happy with our $75 a month HoA.
HOAs are awful but you know that your house had one when you bought it.
As stated, here in the Tampa area you CANNOT find a house without an HOA. Just another money grubbing "free" market system by the home builders. Talk about collusion.
So, you either live in a house with an HOA, or live in an apartment with even worse rules.
You pay 75 bucks a month for a gym membership, pools, water park, lake and community events and have them tell you to mow your grass, don't build a shed or a fence, don't park your cars in the street, etc.?
If you're military, can't you do most of that stuff for nothing on base?
$75 is a bit. I pay $300 per year, but we don't have the gym/pool either. All we get for our money is the entrance landscaping.
I'm guard, no living on base for me though I've heard rumors that davis monthan base housing will actually take an army national guard soldier. Cant imagine how long the waiting list is though. I live in AZ, not entirely sure what this grass is that you speak of. Not necessarily saying I like the HoA, but from everything I hear ours is a whole lot better than most.
