2017-01-01-00-55-51-1357368315.jpeg Was at the gun shop the other day and I've been thinking about picking up a glock 9mm. It's not my favorite caliber but I've seen first hand the damage a good defense 9mm round can do. I have no glock yet in my arsenal. I noticed a nice looking, perfect size for carry glock 19c 9mm with a $490 price tag. The 'C' is for custom I believe, it has a fluted barrel. Really nice looking gun from a company with a great rep. Anyways, wondering if any y'all have one and if you have any input on this model. Happy new year guys n dolls!

I really like the glock 19 but the C models have ported barrels don't they? Don't think I would want a ported barrel in a carry gun. Might blind you in low light shooting.

The "C" designation for any Glock means "compensated" or, as it's more commonly called, ported.

While it's really not necessary on a larger pistol like the G19, it will slightly lessen felt recoil, and keep your muzzle down for faster follow-ups.

Plus, porting looks cool AF when shooting low-light.

    That's a ported S&W Shield.

Drawbacks are it's louder, the larger muzzle blast does have a pretty big signature (doesn't effect the shooter, so much, but it's damn obvious as the above pic shows) and shooting from retention pretty much sucks unless you train to keep the ports canted away from your body.

Nice buy. I've always had a G32c on my list.

Don't let them give you any this, I still don't have a mat either.

First Glock? Because they tend to multiply.

Give her the ol .25 trigger job and go shoot the snot out of it.

Then we can talk about connectors and how you're a fool if you want anything other than orange Trijico HD's on it.
