I like the looks of this pistol for some reason. Are they Rare? Are they worth collecting? Does anyone own one? What would be a fair price for a lovingly used one be?

I ran across a used one a few years ago and wish I had bought it.

Hold it and shoot one if you can.
    Those grips are rough!

The G19 with gills are a bit uncommon.

They do seem to claim a small premium right now...that may grow in the future.

Then again, it's a Glock. There's tens of thousands of 'em out there.

    I will say I wish I hadn't gotten rid of my RTF2 G17.

I've got a couple of RTF2's, 17 and 22 with gills but I'd love a 19. I'm pretty sure the 19 is the rarest of the gilled models.

The new Vickers models have the RTF 2 frame but no gills. I like the RTF a lot so I have both a 19 and a 17 gray Vickers. Never thought too much about the gills vs normal serrations.

Having the beginnings of or a start to a small, and probably rare Glock Collection, I was thinking this could be another nice addition. Maybe collect the Gills in all the calibers offered.
Also I thought about collection the CCU that corresponds to the Glock or XDM

I too bought a G17 RTF2 brand new back in 2010. I still wish I had it as it looks cooler than a regular G17. On the bright side I did trade it straight up for a Beretta 92FS INOX with 7 mags. The Beretta was used(slightly), but it is a great shooter.

Thank you everyone for all the information about this firearm. I had never heard of a Glock with Gills. I'm trying to save my money up in order to by some decent firearms that look to improve in value and look good for a beginners collection. I'm currently negotiating for an H&K 4, 2 Barrel Set. A .32 Auto and the .22LR. I wish I could afford the 4 Barrel set. Again, thank you all for your help............;)

Buy a Smith and Wesson model 10 for under 400 with a decent finish left on it.
