    Hello;

    By chance, do you happen to know if the 9mm and 40s&w ammo from Georgia Arms and Atlanta Arms are good for USPSA Production and Limited (Minor and Major Power Factors) competition?

    I tried searching online but could not find any crono numbers to see how hot they are?

    Thank you!!!

    Yes it's good ammo. Team S&W, Max Michel from Sig, and Team ITI all are sponsored by Atlanta Arms. I won 100 rounds from a Max Michel video contest and it was some soft shooting subsonic 147gr 9mm rounds. I didn't chrono but it was the stuff he uses at major matchs so I'm sure it make PF.

    Niether will likely make major. The only GA I have shot was some 38sp & some 357sig. Both were on the slower side vel wise of most factory. Order up 500 & try thrm over your chrono in your gun, only way to know for sure. If you are shooting that much, reloading is your next step. Always have ammo & can make it anyway you like.

    Not really, it says "minor or major". Kind covers both bases huh? Since all guns are diff & their test platform won't be your gun, the vel are going to be diff. That is not fasle advertizing, that is what it is. Yes, maybe the 40 makes major in a 5" 1911 but certainly not a 3.5" Glock.;)

    I do agree he should see if it makes PF out of his gun but if OPed buy's major ammo and it dosen't make PF then it would be false. By stating major it would imply that it will make major. They aren't implying if your gun dosen't make major with major ammo it will make minor. They are implying you can buy minor or major PF of that round. Also if I'm not mistaken they tailor the load to your spec's as the ammo I got are 147gr XTP JHP's which aren't listed.

    Thanks!!!

    I don't have access to a chrono, but I plan on purchasing a couple boxes from these establishments and see if I feel the difference offhand.

    Thanks again!!!
