Anyone own or shot an Fns? Been thinking about getting one. I've got the Fnp 9 and like it alot.
A guy I worked with had one. He picked it up when they first came out. I was extrememly impressed...very easy to shoot and accurate. Recoil was minimal. I've been thinking of getting one myself but really wish they had a compact version available.
If you decide to take the plunge, let me know. I'll get you a good deal just for the excuse to get some in
I *loved* shooting the FNS at SHOT Show this year. The trigger has a teeny amount of takeup but the reset is extremely positive for a striker-fired pistol. Once you get past the slightest bit of creep it's like a good DA/SA in SA.
Then there's the ergonomics. Just amazing. The curved backstrap fills the hand; the straight bites right into it. Take your pick of which you like better.
Also the controls feel really tight, good enough to feel substantial without being hard to operate. No squish in the safety and the slide release doesn't bite, nor did it fall when I really slammed the magazines in.
The sights are great and with 3+1 magazines I think it's priced really well. I don't own a .40 and I'm sure that when I do go down that road my first step'll be an FNS.
I'll keep that in mind, thanks. FNH does show a compact on their website.
If they come out with a 15-shot .45, they will have my attention.
I had the fnp 45 but traded it. Nice pistol just too big.
Been a while since I have been on here. I posted a review of the FNS on a few other sites, GT, FNforums, and PT. I am very impressed with my FNS, so much so that it is going to replace my G19 as my duty weapon. Don't get me wrong I love my Glock, but the FNS is an outstanding weapon. TXPO
I tried out the trigger pull on one. It seemed acceptable.
How is the recoil compared to your G19? What about the FNS do you like over the Glock?
