Today I picked up my XD 9mm 4 inch Service model at exactly 10 days (to the minute) from the time I purchased it. Put 200 rounds downrange and it was a blast. This is the first handgun I have purchased but I have been firing them for years. Its nice to finally have one that is mine. Absolutely no complains whatsoever. Except for 1 spent shell that somehow found a way down my shirt that was buttoned all the way to the top. Accuracy was great, only misses were due to the shooter. First time shooting the XD (besides the rental that was a .40) and was having some great groupings already. Cleaned her out and taking it back to the range on my lunch hour tomorrow. We forgot to take some pictures today but I will have some tomorrow for sure. I really like the sights and I like the idea of the 6 o'clock point of aim. I was hoping to hear from you guys about new sights, so please post here if you have any suggestions or reviews on any.

Keep pluggin' and we'll await those photos. I've got the Trijicon sights for the dark, doesn't improve the daylight view, though.

So second day on the range with the XD. Had a great time and still nothing at all to complain about. Got some pictures this time of one of my targets at 10 yards. I know I have a lot of room for improvement but this was my second time out with the XD and I barely had any time on the first time out.

Third time out on the range, night and day compared to last time I was out. 3 ten round mags in quick fire at 7 yards and nothing left the center mass 10 ring on the target in the picture above. Loving the weapon so far very glad I picked the XD over the comparable Glock. I am thinking about a PRP trigger drop kit but so far more then stoked with the XD. Cleaned her already and taking it back on Saturday. 600 rounds since Sunday through the weapon. Really starting to zero my shots into a tight grouping
