I know this isn't the most appropriate for the Outdoor Sports section, but I didn't know where else to put this. Anyway, I've been wearing a pair of boots only for a couple of months now and they already feel broken in (and make my feet hurt), which they shouldn't at this point in their lifespan. They were on sale for $40 usually being $90, but I wear these things everyday and everywhere; consequentially, a high-end backing packing boot (~$250-$500) isn't appropriate. So, I was wondering if anyone could recommend an approximately 6" boot for everyday use.

Redwing, Justin, Ariat, or Wolverine for work boots.

    Merrell for hiking or casual.

I just bought a 225$ pair of Redwings and they hurt my feet after 2 hrs. They went back. great craftsman ship, I love there boots but this pair did not agree with my feet. I ordered these.
Converse Mens 6 inch Rapid Response Desert Boot Soft Toe plus FREE SHIPPING!
free shipping both ways and I had the chance to try on a pair local and loved them. the look is a little tactical, but they fit great.

Timberland Pro Endurance They make several ones with and without steel toe etc. I tend to wear out the toes on my shoes and these have a rubber toe that doesn't wear out showing the steel. They are very comfortable they usually last me just under a year but I am rough on them because of my work and I am heavy to so that does contribute. I get the 8" waterproof ones with the thinsulate and I just love them. I have had redwings wolverines Chippewa and Docs. Redwings take to long to break in and didn't last much longer. Wolverines don't last but most of them are comfortable.

Rocky iron clad or Irish Setters both are great boots. Not sure if you need safety toe or reg. My steel toe is a Danner quarry 2.0

I've tried just about every boot out there and my favorite is hands down Rocky. Comfortable right out of the box.
