I have been looking for a long time trying to find someone online or locally who can make custom revolver grips in real rattlesnake skin. I have seen people who make them for 1911s but never revolvers. Does anyone have any recommendations of a good custom grip maker who can craft up a pair of quality rattlesnake skin grips for a single action revolver?

I've emailed any person I've seen with snake grips or who makes them and the answers I got were to check auctions or that they only do 1911 grips.

That Dog Grips website looks to be exactly what I need...the grips on there actually look better than what I would have expected. Thanks for the responses everybody!

The gentleman from Dog grips got back with me earlier this evening and replied...

"The grips will fit nicley but may not fit pefectly. I have done hundreds of single actions for the cowboy shooters and there is 2 ways to do this. I do not make single action grips just the 1911`s. I have to purchase these grips from N.C Ordnace ( www.gungrip.com They cost me $34.5 I charge $40 to cover plus the $4.75 to ship. Now what some customers do to insure a perfect fit. They buy the grips and fit them themselves (very easy) and then ship them to be for covering. You want to make them 1/16 smaller so when the snakeskin is applied they will fit perfect. But to be honest most customers are satisfyed with the way they fit when I do it . Anyway hope all this helps. Thank you for your intrest"

Now I'm not savvy with tools or adjusting things. Does anyone have any recommendations on how I can go about this? I want the grips to fit perfectly, I can be picky about these things LOL. He can't do it....I don't think I can do it...AHH.
