Both of my mags rattle in the magwell when I'm carrying my XD45 tac. Anybody else have this issue? I open carry it almost everyday and it's driving me nuts.

I have not had any issues with the mags in my XD40sc or XDm40 rattling, but I could see how that would drive you nuts. Hopefully, someone else will have an answer for you.

I suspect that it is not the mags rattling in the mag-well, but rather it is the rounds rattling inside the mag...this is common. Do a search on here for "mag rattle".

I wish it was the rounds rattling, but I can physically move the mag side to side in the magwell. Emailed Springfield to see If there's something I can do or if it's normal. Not trying to be pickey or anything, but I spent alot of money on a pistol that rattles when I walk. I hate to say this, but my Glock 17 doesn't rattle. LOL

So if you load 5 rounds in the mag (for tension) and insert the mag in the gun...you get a rattle when you walk? A little side to side movement is normal (your G17 will have some side to side play as well). Does this problem occur when the mag is fully loaded, empty, or both?

My brand new XD45C has the mag rattle. However, it goes away once I load one into the chamber.

hey dosei, They rattle empty or full. I'll check with 5 rounds in them though. I know what your saying, but I'm positive it's not the rounds in the mag rattling. The play in the magwell is alot more than on my G17. Thanks for the input.:) I'm willing to check or change anything to make it stop.

Mine will rattle outside of the pistol if the mag is fully loaded. If there is just 1 round, 5 rounds, 9 rounds, no rattle. Load it to capacity and there is rattle. you'd think the spring compression would hold everything nice and tight

i just looked at my tac and the mag has the same side to side play you're talking about, but i've never heard mine rattle.

can you try a piece of masking tape on the mag to make it fit a little tighter?

Yep, no matter how many rounds are in the mag it rattles. Guess I can try putting something on the mags to make it stop. Any ideas?
