Why would anyone NOT want to have a combat cut in their Supertuck?

Has anyone tried the combat cut and wished they didn't?

I am considering sending 1 of my ST's back for the "treatment".

    Your thoughts...

A combat cut makes it much easier to grip the weapon without jaming your thumb into the leather that is really excess. Purpose .. more comfortable grip and draw.. I did my own cut which is fairly easy to do. Trace out a line
on the excess leather staying fairly close to the outline of the gun. Easy to
cut. There is an example on the web site if u look for it.. Good luck!

I ended up doing the Combat Cut myself. It gives a better grip when drawing. I have to say though, the standard cut is a little more comfortable. Here is how mine turned out.

A clear answer is not in those results at all nor is it in other searches I have done first.

Honestly, there is no clear answer.

It is really a matter of personal taste and individual requirements.

As to the numbers, I'd say 30% or less of our customers order the combat cut.

Yes, we have had folks who got it and did not like it, that is why we recommend wearing your holster a while first before getting it.
We can't put the leather back on if it's been cut away.

I would suspect that about 1/3 of those folks who don't have us do the cut, do it themselves.

No one else can tell you what is best for you, each person has to decide for themselves what is best.

    Peace

    Thanks for the answers...

How many don't like it after it is cut, 1 in 10 or 1 in 3,000?

Did they not like it because of comfort or another reason?

    Men, women or both?

Where they large frame, small frame or average?

How can wearing something tell you how will you will like it (comfort wise) if it is going to be altered to make it different?

Though I am handy, you guys are the experts and I would assume you are best to cut it. Silly to me to save a few $.

Seems to me I need to buy a used or "blemish" and have it cut to see if I like it before I cut both of my stock ST's (which I love but agree the draw can be a little better).
