Well lets get some input here.

AKC says this "For little things that a pocket knife is used for. The Clash is just fine. I've never had a problem with it. And I certainly would not call it a piece of crap.

And I certainly would not take a Cold Steel over a Kershaw. EEEEVVVEEEERRRR!

Unless you like mall ninjas who make stupid videos in what looks like a dungeon from the set of a BDSM porn video."

I tried tellin him that a $20 kershaw clash is no match for anything in the cold steel line up. But it sounds like he needs a class in knives...

Kershaw isnt all american made. Cold steel also makes blades in USA but the fact is that USA doesnt have the greatest steel anymore. Japan has better steel.

Who cares? It is his opinion...

I, personally, think it is pretty difficult to just compare manufacturers...It is like an apples to oranges sort of thing. Comparing models makes it a little easier to say which is "better" (opinion).

That having been said, I prefer Kershaw but I like the Zero Tolerance line from Kershaw myself.

Wow..really can't believe you took it here. This was originally taken from a post in which I was OP. I just bought a Clash, which so far, I like. He apparently does not and not so eloquently, suggested Cold Steel. Another poster disagreed, which he quoted here. I see that he has taken that very well.

Bro, let it go already. And "we're comparing the $20 Clash to any Cold Steel knife" is hardly a fair comparison. If you are going to put your opinion out there, you have to learn to accept others as well.

Both kershaw and cold steel make a lot of junk, and a lot of great models at a great value. Just get whatever you like the most. ZT is also something to think about. One of the best lines out there imo.

I've been looking at ZTs and ESEEs as a fixed blade and hunting option. Both seem very well made and solid. Not a terrible starting price point either.

I got my rc3 in yesterday, check knife pic thread. I love it, it just fits, great balance/workmanship and scary sharp after 2 mins on the strop.
