I am looking for an inexpensive shotgun for home defense. My local
pawn shop has a new Charles Daly shotgun for 199.00. The shot gun has
18.5 inch barrell and black stock. It is pretty plain jane i just have no expierence with Charles Daly products. Thanks in advance :D

Might be made by Mossberg, or EAA, Charles Daly just puts thier name on stuff. My buddy has a Charles Daly 9mm auto, its made by Tanfoglio- which is Witness.....

I have a Charles Daly semi auto (all black) shot gun...bird hunting set up.
I am not sure who made it but it shoots just fine...though I don't get it out nearly enough.

I'm not saying that they are junk, just not "mainstream' names like Remington or Winchester. Which doesn't mean anything. The best shot gun i own is an old Norinco over under.......

I looked at a Charles Daly at Wally World the other day, and IIRC, it had "Made in Turkey" on the side. I'm thinking about getting one for my wife. She's been watching the guys at the range shoot skeet targets, and thinks it looks like fun.

I've had one of the "Field Hunter" semi autos, w/black synthetic for a couple years now. Only problem I ever had was my fault, I lost the little rubber gas check gasket thingy while cleaning it. Didn't realize it and it won't cycle worth a darn without it. Contacted Charles Daly and they sent me a whole pack overnight for free! - Can't beat that for customer service. I've shot everything from light trap loads to 3" goose loads through it.
