Hi my name is john and this is my first post in this forum...I have recently purchased to pistols an xd9 4in service and a p226r navy both in 9mm, my question was can the xd40 mag fit in the xd9 and if it can, can you use 9mm ammo in the mag? I am only asking because i really don't want to go find a hi cap mag in my price range, and i figure you can fit more than 10 9mm in a 40 cal mag....

also if anyone knows about them can you put a .40/.357 sig mag in a 9mm sig? will the .40/.357 sig mag feed 9mm ammo, thanks for anyone who can help me

    Yes you can.

The magazines on the 9/40/357 are interchangeable, but the feed lips are different on the 9 than the 40.

I think we need a sticky on this topic... I've read it quite a few times, and even asked the question myself... Might help save some folks time and/or trouble.
