I just read a section of the Patriot Post that said that one of the citizens of Washington DC, Tracey Hanson, tried to register her pistol she was denied due to DC using California's approved weapons list. It turns out that if her particular pistol was either black, olive drab or dark earth she would have been good to go but she chose the evil two tone Stainless and black. Even though her model was "approved" in certain colors, the two tone version was not accepted by the morons in DC. What a country, we have people not only with a total disregard for the constitution but complete and total idiots running this place.

Well... no wonder! That "stainless-and-black" would be the Assault Bi-tone colors! ;)

Liberal politicians making decisions based on color? Unthinkable!

What model was this? I see the bi-tone (polished slide) out here in most shops.

California requires each individual model and part number to go through approval and for the manufacturer to pay the fees, so certain models are not approved. Nor is the XD(m) in Cali.

Right. You can find the OD green and desert tan bi-tones all over the place. I saw a tan bi-tone .40 compact today at Bucksport sporting goods in Eureka, CA. The one she wanted was stainless w/black frame, which is not on our "list".

Completely retarded law! But where else would you find a law that essentially equates to fashion policing but California?

The CalGuns foundation is in on this, and its awesome, because we basically get to challenge CA's roster without challenging CA's roster.

If it gets tossed there as unconstitutional, then we've got it in the bag.

and yeah, it was an XD 45 bi-tone.

Here is teh post over on CalGuns.net from Gene Hoffman, chair of the CalGuns foundation.

So the XD-40 bi-tone is OK, but the XD-45 bi-tone is not? Weak. Glad I went 40 :D. Could easily get a slide refinished also.

I am talking about the stainless slide bi-tone, I could pick one up right now...in my 10 day wait for one actually.

I could not afford the price of an "Assault" rifle. So I had to go with the affordable (and illegal in many states) Assault Bi-Tone XD. I will know always refer to it as my "ABTXD".

Yep, Kalifornia does allow for Bi-Tone guns, but it must be drop-tested first for approval. Because you know how a simple difference in outer finish/color can utterly change how a gun will work.

Next thing they could dream up is some year, blue cars will have to go through their own Kalifornia approved crash tests to see if they perform as well as the red ones do. I wouldn't put it past Kali.

Too bad D.C. is being just as moronic.
