I'm in the need of a new range bag. Mines falling apart and not worth another purchase. So I'm asking in your opinion what is the best range bag you know of?

I'm looking for something sanely priced not top of the line $$$
    I carry 3-4 pistols
    100 rounds of ammo each
    40 rounds of long rifle ammo .223 - .30-06
    Tools and cleaner.

    Thanks.

you'll get several answers, but, one of the most recommended is the Midway range-bags from Midway USA.

Especially when they are on sale, they are a great product for an excellent price.

The larger one can carry 4+ handguns and a bunch of ammo with no problems.

+1 on the Midway bags. I have the compact bag and it's great if I just want to hit the range with a couple pistols.

+1 on Midway USA range bag.

The go on sale every other week or so. Have been several reviews on it posted previously. It really can not be beat for the price. It is large, sturdy and built for the shooter in mind. I can not find anything to complain about regarding the bag.

    Midway Competition Range Bag

Meets your list of needs, and a lot more. I am still very happy with mine after two years.

On sale until end of this month, and in stock. Not the best sale, but close, sometimes goes for $39, that's what I paid. Midway shipping is not as good as used to be, need to combine with other stuff, good excuse to get stuff ;)

Midway! Hands down best bang for the buck. It's almost always on sale. It would be a great bag at full price.

Just like everyone else said the Midway bag is probably one of the best you can get. It has more than enough room.

Plenty of room for your magazines.

Two pistol pouches and a bag for extra ammo or whatever.

The middle pocket where the pistol pouches go, I have taken 4 pistols along in this just put them in the side pockets.

Two big pockets on the side, I usually have some of my gun cleaning supplies in one and a stapler in he other.

+100 on Midway. I purchased the smaller of the two for just $29.99. I usually carry my xdm, 200-300 rounds, plus 12 fully loaded magazines, cleaning essentials, range gear, and maybe a few targets folded up. I love it. Step dad purchased bulk ammo and when we went to the range one day I carried it all plus mine because I didn't think the range would appreciate us walking in with 1000 loose rounds. So it held 2 xdms, and roughly 1700 rounds. Heavy but it held like a champ.

    are those pistol pouches padded?

I wish they would make this lockable. There are some concerns in in California that the rangebag won't be considered a "secured container" since you could find a way to stick your hand in there even if there's a lock.

+1 for the Midway Bags. I have the compact version and carry 3 pistols, in Midways soft pistol cases, eyes, ears. 16 magazines for my 1911, xd(m), glock. A few speedloaders and 6 or so boxes of bullets. And I still have pockets I don't use.:)

There is a little bit of padding in the pouches but not too much. And I think that is because they were designed to be carried in the bag.
