Ok guys/gals I need a decent little kit to clean my two .45acps (1911, XD45c)

I have been using the usual Rem Oil, Q-Tips, Towels, Bore-Snake, and Brian Enos Slide Glide

But I would like to know what you guys use for a "kit" or if you even use a kit. I am just trying to get organized. I try to clean my Pistols after every range visit.

I moved out of my Parent's place a while ago, so I can't "borrow" Dad's stuff anymore

there are kits cheaper, and honestly you can go to walmart and buy everything for about 30 bucks, but I paid 48 dollars out the door about three years ago and it has been really nice for me

For a simple kit I like otis the only kit that will clean most guns really well and fit in a pocket.

As far as Gun Oil, I found lately that the BEST is: EEZOX.
It's a syntetic oil, that will clean - lubricate - prevent rust better than any other product on the market. There are several, head to head tests, against the most popular other products, that prove it. Just goole it.
Save your money, forget about kits. They are a waste of money.
Get youself a HOPPE'S "Bore Snake" for your exact caliber, a brush or two and the EEZOX gun oil. Thats all you need.
You'll thank me for it. You can always buy a fancy kit later.

thats why i had mentioned you could build your own, buy just what you need as you need it.....but it was there, i was there, and it was shiny

thats my downfall....new and shiny equals going home with me

the crappy economy is not because of me :)

Well I'll have to price match to check to see if it's worth it. I have some Hoppes #9 too.

That EEzox looks interesting too I'll check it out
