Just grabbed 500 Aguila 9mm from Ammo To Go for $200... It's JHP but the last time I bought Aguila, it was FMJ for half that price. It's out of stock since I placed the order yesterday afternoon.
My brother has about 500 rounds of .223 since he just sold his Mini 14 ($1100!) he's probably going to sell since the stuff is like gold now.
Unless you NEED it, STOP BUYING AMMO!!! Why do you need 3,000 rounds all at once? It's a perfect example of supply and demand. The panic buyers have stripped the shelves and out-ordered the supply capability. Hey, guess whut? Ammo will always be available!!! Stop the feeding frenzy!!!
Sit back and relax. Cut down your practice shooting and/or increase your home reloading. Do you really NEED to burn 200-300 rounds a week to stay in practice?
When the suppliers have a chance to catch up to the PANIC (run, Henny Penny) buying, the ammo will reappear (as if by magic!) on the shelves and the prices will return to what they once were.
Break the cycle. STOP THE INSANITY!
You may say, "I didn't start it." No, but you're sure continuing it!

Amen to that! I bought my 40 in mid December and haven't had a chance to shoot it yet because I just found my first box of rounds locally yesterday. And I was ecstatic to find those 50 rounds
Yup people need to relax n wait it out. Once the dust settles it will be back to earth. Investing in it now is like buying stock at the peak. Wait it will be better soon. They arsnt going to stop making it.
Went to a lgs to buy 380 rounds for the range and they wanted $40 for a 35 round box. I told him he was smoking something good if he expected me to pay that. Went online and ordered 150 rounds shipped for about the same price
swung by walmart on the way home this morning (i work midnights so it was around 8am) and they had a single 50 round box of .40 WWB 180gr FMJ. tracked somebody down and stood there to make sure nobody else could get eyes on it. $19 out the door, not too shabby. heading to the range right now to shoot it all
I bought my 40 thinking the same thing. Wish I had the same availability as you. 2 bass pros and 9 academy's, countless Walmarts. Going to check another Walmart tomorrow that their website says they have plenty. We'll see
Sent from my S3... Probably while I'm supposed to be working
I finally found some ammo in stock, prices were a little high but not horrible. A small smoke shop was struggling to stay in business so the owner opened a counter with a few guns and supplies and no one (including me until today) even knows he's there. 50 rounds of Sellier & Bellot Ammo 115gr FMJ 9mm were $17.95, Federal FMJ was $21.95. They had some Hornady .223 but it was $27.95 for 20 rounds of either 53gr or 75gr. They had everything else too at a mix of mid to high prices.
He even had a few .22lr ARs and a RRA AR-style shotgun that were about $50-100 over normal prices.
I just bought a 9mm nano from LGS today. They asked if i needed ammo and i said i didnt notice any. The lady said we keep a box for each gun we have that way everyone can go home and shoot their new gun if they want. I had the option of 50rd box of AE FMJ or a box of hornady CD. I took the AE for $15. Not a big score but i thought it was good idea that the owners had.

A gun shop I was in today had 5000 rounds of .40 behind the counter (250 round boxes of Remington UMC). They had smaller quantities of most everything except .223.
Excitement! My Freemdom Munitions delivery will come tomorrow. I'm back on the range again. I've been in withdrawal almost to depression! Will need to pace myself as I know the shortage is going to continue for a while.
There is ammo out there but unless you already stocked up you'll be paying a premium for it! Even with current prices I like to stick to my routine of buying a box everytime I'm at the LGS and adding it to the reserve/don't touch pile. If you REALLY can't find anything in stock as of 5:26PM central time www.bulkmmo.com has 9MM, .45ACP, and .223
