so a long time childhood friend of mine got a new job at hornady and let me in on the fact that they actualy give away alot of ammo in the .223, .45, and 9mm. he offerd to get me some 9mm but my question is are they any laws that prohibit him from shiping it to me in a decent quantity or at all

I think it just needs to be shipped ground but I could be mistaken. Each shipping company probably has there own policy. Wanna hook me up with some .45? Lol

Sent from the rocket in my pocket, my all powerful DROID BIONIC.

I attended an event recently where Hornady had donated "all you can shoot" ammo. Nice of them to do that.

oo and to answer the other questions i will have to see how this deal works out with my buddy and if it dose work out ill do my best to see wat i can do but there would be almost no point for me to have ammo sent to me in a caliber the i dont own.

omarimoe, I'll cover your shipping costs (from your friend to you and to me) if you can hook me up with some 9mm and 45 aCP :) :) :)

You CAN'T use USPS. You can ship ammo via Fedex or USP, provided you mark it with an ORM-D sticker and has to ship ground. There might also be a limit on the weight, then it goes freight. Can't remember but I think it was at or less than 55 lbs is good to go.

Yes you can ship ammo. USPS wont do it but FedEx and UPS will. I think FedEx requires some kind of declaration form, but, I just shipped 400 rounds of 223 and 45 to my buddy via UPS. The box has to be marked with ORD labels and you need to go to a UPS hub to do it. UPS stores here wont take it. You will also need a photo ID. Thats it. I think you can shi as big as 50BMG. Cost me 28 bucks for 16lbs coast to coast.
