Been reloading since mid 70's and only reloading 9MM past few years and bought some once fired 9MM brass. I have two different type cases, as seen in picture. One on the left has like a little brass (colored) ring, and the other does not. Primers dont want to go into one on left, have to use a little reamer tool and round edges a little and primer will go right in, case on right, I have no problem with primer. Case on left has WCC 98 on it, on right has Win 9MM Luger. What do you know about the cases, especially the one on the left. Thanks!

It's a crimp on the primer. Military brass crimp the primers and use red sealent. You going to need to remove the crimp either by swagging the pocket or reaming the pocket. Look at the Lee primer pocket reamer or the dillon sagger.

Agalindo, Thanks for the info. Been using a RCBS deburring and rounding the edges, will check on the items you mentioned. Again, Thanks!

Someone supplied me with this chart when I was looking up some old surplus ammo that I have and I think it will help. USGI non-corrosive primer headstamp dates - Military Surplus Ammunition - Military Surplus Ammunition and Handloading - ParallaxBill's Curio & Relic and Military Surplus Firearms Forums - Message Board - Yuku( Using this chart it looks like you have ammo made by Western Cartridge Corporation and it was manufactured in 1998. It is military ammo and therefore has a primer pocket crimp. I hope that was helpful.

I use the case chamfering tool, the pointed end works great in both large and small pistol cases. 50 plus years.
