Finally ordered one tonight. I was going to go to sleep and forget about it till another night. But, I couldn't stop thinking about it so I bought it. Now I'm excited and can't get to sleep anyway. Thanks to @2tango2 for showing me the shipping code. Idk if they will honor the price match in the morning but it let me check out at the lower price at $860 shipped. Here's a pic of a random until mine gets home. I know there are some very knowledgeable revolver guys out there, and I'm not one, so let me know what you think. 4588044_01_s_w_627_performance_center_udr_640.jpg

Um... yes! Never shot a pc gun, hope to one day. That aside, it sure is a good looking pistol.

I would put these on it (ahrends.com) but that's just me. I have some on a j-frame, they are a little big, but on an n-frame I think they would be great.

Good call on grips! I have a 586 l comp as well that I really like except the wood grips don't fit me quite right. And, I just don't like the look of the rubber ones that come with it.

Yeah I really didn't like the rubber ones that came on my square butt 586. I tried some hogue monogrips, sanded off most of the finger grooves and they are still a little too much.

That's awesome. Just a gorgeous gun, I'm green with envy. I have 3 S&W PC revolvers and I couldn't be happier with them, fantastic triggers and very accurate and that's a hell of a price.

    Congrats!

Nice pick up. I think you'll like it...

If you don't like the finger grooves in the Hogues, try some Pachmayrs. Presentations would probably be just what you're looking for.

The G10 grips out there (Hogue/VZ) are nice as well...

Nice, congrats. I like the unfluted cylinder and wood grips.

Thanks. I like the looks also. I will probably put some longer grips on it though. I havent decided. Interesting though @schnyd112 after doing some looking at grips online, I saw the ahrends are made just a couple hours from me.

Leaning towards these. I hope they look more blue than grey on the stainless.

They were sure easy to deal with. I had a phone call within an hour asking if I really wanted the medallions because they had a set without ready to go. I wanted them, waited an extra day or so, and still had them within 10 days of ordering.

If I were to do it with a bigger gun I would have gone smooth. I don't feel the checkering adds much aside from annoyance after 50 rounds. you can see how big they look on a j frame, but I don't think the outer dimensions change as the frame size goes up. You can see the original panels in the frame too.

Also, an unesesary appearance from my 586 with the altered monogrips... for comparison.
