Im looking for a Lee Case Length Gauge for 300 blackout and it seems like Midway is the only place that has them except they are back ordered for almost another 6 months. Cant seem to figure out how they cant turn these things out any faster but does anyone have any insight on this or a supplier that can help me out. I have everything else to start cranking out rounds except this piece.

If you have calipers you don't need any gauges!

I have calipers im looking at converting 5.56 brass to 300 blk and it involves cutting off the shoulder, sizing the case, then trimming the excess. I can trim and measure and trim and measure for each one but im trying to speed it up.

I guess I am behind times because I have never in my 70 some years heard of 300 Blackout. What is it, and where on earth did you find a gun chambered for it? :?

Cutting off the shoulder? What is the case length for the 300?

Is it shorter then the 223 case?

It looks easy enough to do with the right die. Sure is a big bullet. What do you shoot with it? Targets or game?

Well im currently deployed but I have a 8" Noveske barrel waiting at home and money set aside for an AAC suppressor. They say its pretty accurate out to 300 meters so i guess it will just be my go to zombie gun maybe some hunting and paper punching too

I've been considering/researching this caliber as well. Still trying to figure out a efficient method of cutting down the brass then trimming to length.

    Anyone with any ideas?

    Trimming 223 for 300 blk - YouTube

This seems to be the quickest method ive seen just using a cheap little cut off saw and some wood. After that you would just have to trim a bit which is where im stuck at. I was able to get a hold of Lee and they said that the 300blk case length gauge is considered a custom caliber that they have to shut down normal operations to be able to make so they wont be making anymore for about 6 months. :( I did find these guys though All Weather Arms and for $55 they will convert 1K rounds of 5.56 to 300blk for you or for $110 you can buy 1K rounds of 5.56 already converted over to 300blk. Figured id go this route and by the time I burn through 1K rounds of brass Midway should be back in stock.. Hopefully.... ;)
