Replaced my pin last weekend so was eager to hit the range. This was only my second time out and started with about 50 rounds through my Glock 23 then moved to my XD sub .40 and got one mag down range before cease fire.

I changed my target and here are the results: 50 rounds @ 15 yards. It could have been tighter but I am pleased. I had zero misfeeds or failures to lock open like my first time out. I was using American Eagle 165 grain for my practice round. It was a great day!

Damn iPad isn't compatible. I'll have to post the pic from my computer later. Dang it!

Why did you change the striker pin?

Was it broken after the first trip or just because?

I was wondering the same thing, I have thousands of rounds through many of my XD and XD(M)s, have yet change that pin, maybe I am missing something here.

I experience no problems. It was just because. I felt like I would have never shot enough rounds through it to experience any problems but "what if". I had read enough to know it "could" happen so it gave me a chance to get to know my pistol better. It was the first time I had ever stripped down a pistol. I got a new, higher quality striker pin and a great experience out of the deal.

Oh, and my husband just wouldn't get off the idea and hearing "I would change it if I were you" lasted a little too long.
