Both Bob's and Springers appear to have *once been* the same. However, Springer now manufactures their own products and their trigger bar is made out of stainless steal so it comes out to be another 15 dollars. XDGuys.com does appear to have the best price on these trigger bars, as well. Springer's should run you about 60 dollars and bobs about 45 dollars. XD Upgrade Parts:Trigger Bars

please help if you know anything about what this is below.
Hey, I checked out a parts breakdown off of the XDGuys site and I am going to post it here but it might be kind of large.
Look at part number 6. This looks closest to your picture.

Will Bob's trigger bar work with the sears that we got? And if I decided to tap the stock trigger bar, is there anything I need to be concerned with, i.e. a location to put it where is doesn't mess up the trigger spring?

The group buy kits ARE bob's kits. So, to answer your question, Bob's trigger kit will not only work with the sears but they were designed for the kit you have.

Only ask because it says it works with Bob's "competition" sear.

"Designed to be used in conjuction with the Competition Sear to maximize performance and function in the XD."

Looking back it appears as though we did get Bob's standard Sear.

The sears you guys purchased thru the group buy are our standard sear's which have been on the market since early last year. We also make the X Tech or competition sear which is lighter and eliminates the separate safety lever. The trigger bars we make are the orginial one's that came out last year and will work with either of our sears or the sear Springer is currently selling.

The addition of the trigger bar, with minor fitting, will allow you to further reduce take up AND reduce overtravel/reset. Because you don't have to drill a hole in them and the fact they are CNC machined from heat treated carbon steel they have a lifetime warranty against breakage.

Can you give me an idea of what is meant by "May require minor fitting to set overtravel/takeup." I'm very interested in picking up the trigger bar too!!!!!!!!

It's a little hard to explain in a forum post but I believe there are a couple of videos posted here at XD Talk about how to do it. And you are alway's welcome to give me a call and I can walk you thru it.

Basically there are two spots on the bar which will require you to file them to adjust the take up and overrtavel.

That sounds ideal, Bob! I was at first deciding to possible just skip the trigger bar because of the possibility of having to get it fitted. However, this sounds like something that someone with a little common sense might be able to remedy with your help. I will probably be buying one now that I hear this.

One additional question for you... Not to over-complicate the matter, but how would we know if the bar needed fitting? Would the trigger fail to engage and disengage properly?
