Just got an email from Rich... a new kit is coming. They are handling the claim with the post office.

ring question

hey guys, listen, i installed my kit today and when i was done, i noticed this tiny, little ring looking thing on the towel on my work area!?! as you can see in the picture, it has an opening in it, but i have no idea what it goes to, IF it came out of the pistol!?! i have the XD9 Service model.

Does anyone here know what this is, or was it on my towel and i didn't realize it prior to working on the trigger kit assembly!?!

please help if you know anything about what this is below.

Doesn't look like anything form the trigger assembly to me... I could be wrong, so if I am, please speak up.

There's not much to the trigger assembly:
Locking Block
Slide Stop Lever Spring
Trigger, Spring, Trigger Bar
Take Down Lever
Slide Stop
2 Pins

Unless the Slide Stop Lever Spring broke in two places at the round part.....

Does the gun function OK??????

Maybe pull the locking block out and check the spring... if it's ok then I think it is a mystery.

They should've used a padded envelope.

What now? XDGuy's make a claim? They get refunded? Where does that put me? Another few months wait until they are back in stock?

So depressed....
Hey guys. I just got off the phone with XDguys (he called me) and said that they are all being taken care of. Mine looked EXACTLY like this one as well. They specifically asked the post office not to put them through the rollers and they did just that. Good for them that they insured them otherwise there would be no recourse. I am 100% confident in these guys and have complete faith that we will get taken care of. Patience is a virtue in this case.

I'll tell you this: after 2 personal phone calls from them and absolutely SUPERB cstomer service I will be givng them a lot more of my money in the future. If I need it and they have it I'll buy it.

I assume this is to make overtravel better to compliment the reduced take up? Which bar is recommended? The XD Guys bar or the Springer bar that is listed on their site. I wouldnt mind plopping down the $40 or $50 for the trigger bar after I get the new sear in and see how it works.

It looks like one of the snap rings that is used to hold the trigger pin or the front pin in place. You can see if one is missing by looking in the pin holes on the right side of the frame.

is it easy to put back in? why would it have come out? is it that easy to fall out?

i just took it apart again and looked intently into both of the pin holes, on both interior sides, and i do not see any "spring" or "ring" type piece in either one of them. is it incorporated into the interior lip of the polymer frame or something!?!

i am not seeing anything.

thanks for your input.
