XD drop in trigger kit HERE!!!! Updated
We have a match grade sear, springs, and a service for preparing the trigger bow. This is for the folks who want and improved XD trigger but not the full custom job. This will require minor fitting and if you want the full kit, will require the sending in of your trigger bow for machining work in our shop.
These sears are being made by long time shooter and gunsmith Bob Hostetter and his shop The Custom Shop. This is the same product talked about in that thread. We will also be adding the match grade sear upgrade to our services, and if this venture is sucessful we will be producing a gunsmith fit version also. The price of the kit will be close to the cost of an entry level trigger job without the shipping cost. We have thought long and hard about ways to make this work, and hope this will give an additional option for those wanting an improved trigger where price is a barrier. Again this is not a substitute for a custom trigger job, but will be an improvement. ~ Scott Springer

Maybe its just me, but when a damn fine gunsmith is willing to sell you a dropin kit that may take away from his 'smithing business you know you are dealing with a standup guy. Scott, I wish everyone I dealt with out in "the world" was this reputable.

I don't know anything about trigger work, but will any of these drop-in parts allow one to increase the pull weight on an XD trigger that has already been worked on, say for USPSA Production if they create a minimum trigger weight rule?

It depends on how the trigger was done. The trigger will meet the new proposed production pull weight.

That's great news, Scott. I look forward to its debut.

Will this eliminate pre-travel and reduce trigger weight as originally advertised?

Subscribing. It sounds real good so far.
From what you said this is a drop in kit that requires fitting. I realize that for the best perfomance it needs to be fitted, but are there any plans for a true drop in kit? i.e. glock type drop in parts.

It will be a true drop in, there may be some very minor fitting that can be done by any one who can detail strip an XD. If you can't detail stip it, it isn't a product for you. I'm working on a ways to make it reduce take-up and overtravel, so the trigger bar mods may or may not be needed. Yes, it will reduce the pull weight, which will be in the carry range.
It is not going to be a full blown trigger job, there is too much variance in XD's for me to attempt that.

Can i still send you my XD(tac) i got from sfinney? It could use your magic again and to meet the required trigger pull.
Do you need the entire gun or just the frame? later. Thanks for making up a drop in trigger kit, nice work.
