The cost on the trigger bars is very high and I hae to run a LOT of them to get the price point where I want it, so it is a ways off.

Scott,
Do you recommend getting the sear polished? Does it matter?

I was also wondering what (and how much) difference the polishing makes. I'll be dropping this in a carry gun, so I'm not sure I want to decrease the trigger weight too much, but I do want to address pre-travel and over-travel.

Yes, you can do it yourself or we will do it for a nominal fee. It is better to fit it right than to "shoot it in" IMO.

You will need to modify the trigger bar for overtravel, which we can do, or you can have a local gunsmith do it.

Scott,

I commend you for doing this. One place where the stock XD really sucks eggs is for offhand (bullseye) shooting, or any discipline where precise trigger control is critical to performance. The guns themselves are fairly 'mechanically accurate' and getting the trigger right sure makes it easier to use that accuracy.

Personally, I get along with a two-stage trigger just fine. Overtravel is another story and it sound like you've addresed that.

Good luck with your enterprise.

Payment sent for one polished sear, spring kit and shipping... Still debating a second... I keep telling myself that I'll wait and see how well the first one works before ordering another, but I know I'm only kidding myself and I'll end-up ordering a second one anyway.
