At this point, from what I have learned over the last 24 hours or so, this product will be a Springer Precision exclusive, not available though PistolGear. Should this change, we'll let you know.

Sure. To do a trigger job I will still need the whole gun. I will be offering premium sears in my work also as an option.

There will be dealer pricing also, so if folks like OS want to pick any of our XD products that is welcome.

My goal in expanding into the parts market is to give people some more options and get some products out there as well as improving the quality of products I have available for gunsmithing.

The best will always be the handfit by someone who knows the XD like Canyon Creek, Springer Precision or SA. It won't be close to the competition job.

Will there be a "carry trigger" drop-in made available? One that reduces take up, over travel, and reduces the weight to around 3.5-4.5#?

I don't see a "carry" package under 4#'s probably in the 4.5-5# range.

Price (today) sear $55 reduced power sear and trigger return springs $15 drill and tap trigger bar for overtravel w/set screw $20 USPS shipping $5 (premium shipping available.) Springs will be ONLY sold with sears until my next batch of springs are ready.

Shipping ETA 3-9-07

So we're talking $90 for the sear, springs and modded trigger bar (w/set screw), plus $5 to ship you the trigger bar, plus another $5 to ship it all back to us... So about $100 total for a full, do-it-yourself "carry" trigger job? How would this setup compare to your $100 (Springer Precision) "carry" trigger job?

Considering the shipping costs for sending a complete gun (~$70) and the cost of a trigger job ($100-135), that's not a bad deal at all.

Have you thought about doing some sort of exchange setup on the trigger bar? Like a core fee kind of thing? That way a person could get all the parts needed to setup his gun with little to no downtime waiting for parts. Then, once assembled, the unmodded trigger bar could be sent back and you could mod it and send it to the next guy.

If I could get SA to sell me trigger bars that would be great, but since I have 5 parts guns that I send to SA on a semi regular basis and buying guns is the only way I get parts, it wouldn't be feasible without buying 25 pistols.

I think they will be great for carry, just not as short a take-up.

Ahh... I thought I saw you mention that you had an aftermarket trigger bar in the works (which would give you your "cores" to get started). Anyway, I'm in for one or two kits ASAP!
