Wow....Just Wow!!!

I have the utmost respect for LE. I understand that they are human and sometimes make mistakes, but for them to go back and later arrest both the girl and her father for resisting arrest is just absurd. Assuming all this is true, I think everyone is lucky the father didn't come out shooting.

My question is what if the father came out blazing away on the cops before they identified themselves and happened to kill one? I know if I say a group of men in civilian clothes snatching her up and trying to take her I'm charging straight them and will be empty in a matter of steps.

If the father came out shooting ... I wouldn't blame him for the action.

As for LE identifying themselves ... A simple solution is to realize that any LE personnel who are plain clothes are in effect civilians even if they identify themselves as LE ... It's no different than an unmarked car attempting to pull you over ... They're an idiot on the road until someone with a marked car arrives on the scene.

These guys are Bad Guys IMO and should have been dealt with accordingly.
I fully support my local LE, but when stupid stuff happens ... They are civilians ... When stupid stuff happens, and the best identifier that I am dealing with LE, is the sound of their voice ... Well if I had a 12 year old daughter being abducted by three civilians ... Someone might have to explain to the duty officer why three of their finest, and maybe a civilian are down at the morgue waiting to be identified, and a very traumatized 12 year old and her remaining family are suing the entire town.

claiming "we're cops" has become a common method for criminals to invade homes and assault people out here and in other parts of the country.

the sound of the voice is not enough anymore. they need to furnish badges, etc.
