Finally some good news....

I went to a different HD by my house this time to buy a new cartridge and they told me no HD in the area carries them even though they get a lot of request for the delta 1300 cartridges.

So dude tells me that delta has a lifetime warranty on it parts. He gave me the number to delta and told me what to tell them. So I call. Said what dude told me to and I was off the phone in 3 minutes with delta agreeing to send me a whole new cartridge within 10 business days for free. How great is that?

tec, I appreciate you taking the time to help me. I was totally lost on this one. I'm ashamed to say that I was a plumber's apprentice for 2.5 years. But in my defense it was all new residential plumbing and heating. Never did any repair work and never learned a whole lot cuz my boss was a tyrannical hack. He was the guy that would undercut all the reputable plumbers by at least a grand and hack out the entire place. His own son, a master plumber, wouldn't even work for him cuz he was so bad. In these parts he's known as "Leaky Ted". I don't even remember seeing a delta cartridge. We only used Moen.

Anyway I could tell you all kinds of bad stuff about this guy. My favorite is when we were in a new basement stacking it out. It had 2 inches of water in it. We all had rubber boots on but him and when he plugged in the light and let the chord fall into the water we all laughed as we watched him to the electricution dance all the way across the basement to the stairs.

No, I was born in west toledo, moved around some and have stayed on the west side. My dad was born/raised on the east side. Oak, white and girard. My grandmother was from Packo's area. Don't know what street. The older I get the smaller the city seems to be, most everywhere i go i see someone i know.
No kin worked the railroad, even though dad used to hop the trains for rides and flatten pennys on the track. Tracks are VERY close to white and girard, my great uncle built a baseball diamond there so all the kids could play somewhere. Toledo lib is great isn't it? One by our house has about 30 computers with blazing fast internet access.
