Hat over heart..

i go to as many hockey games as i can. and every time someone doesnt take off their hat they always get yelled out.
i dont see how hard it is to take off a hat.

Perhaps there are SOME out there who
are beginning to get 'the picture'.

According to the United States Code,
Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec.. 171... During
rendition of the national anthem when
the flag is displayed, all present except
those in uniform are expected to stand at
attention facing the flag with the right
hand over the heart. At the very least,
'Stand and Face It'

I'm not a hat wearer, but if I were, I wouldn't feel compelled to take it off during the anthem. Nor would I feel compelled to place my hand over my heart. I don't need do either of these things to know the level of respect I have for servicemen or the amount of pride I have in my country or how much I do enjoy the freedom to make choices such as these. I definitely wouldn't say anything about anyone else's preferences to do or not do these things.

I do, however, shut my trap, stay put and otherwise be respectful during the performance.

Ed...that may well be one of the scariest things I have read in years!! COME ON PEOPLE...WAKE UP. If that isn't reason enough to fight hard to ensure that JM/SP are elected next month...I don't know what is!!! God help us, all!!

Hats off for sure. Hell, I was raised that you didn't wear hats indoors even. Only women were allowed to wear hats indoors.

ED thanks for posting even though it does scare the Hell out of me! How can anyone even think about putting this guy in charge of our country.
