See, the problem with Palin is that she might possibly *become* president. And that's when the problems begin.

For better or worse, McCain does have at least some level of clue. He's qualified to be President. Don't like his judgment lately, but nobody is concerned that he's not qualified.

Palin is not. She may say things people like, and may have a few positions that resonate, but what she does not have is the gravitas necessary to run a nation like ours. You could find Joe Sixpack in the back woods of any place who may say things that resonate, but Joe isn't qualified either. Even if he's shot a moose.

Her experiences in Alaska make her remarkably out of touch with the problems and issues the rest of us face. And now she's going to have to negotiate with people like Putin? Sheesh.

Alaska has enjoyed a windfall from oil, something no other state experiences. It's not like anywhere else, and she's been remarkably insulated from the problems and circumstances the rest of us face. What does Palin know about agriculture, international business, banking, Iran, Venezuela, and on and on?

The more I looked at Palin, the more I realized she doesn't pass the smell test. She's not qualified to be President. Maybe in 10 years (though her policies would preclude me from supporting her). But not next year, which is something for which a vice president must be prepared.

The great irony of her nomination is that McCain was all over Obama prior to the convention about his "lack of experience." Interesting how that argument disappeared from the radar scope once he named Palin. Of course, the reason it did is that he named someone *who would be in line for the presidency* with less experience yet. All he did was validate Obama's candidacy.

So what McCain essentially did was to recant his own argument about the importance of "experience." Makes one wonder what he'll recant next.

yeah if i go into a gun range and see a group of "thug types" theres no way in hell im steppin out to the range without at least watching to see if they have any clue how to safely handle a firearm obviously these guys did not, i dont care what race you are if you have tatts peircings hell even the baggy pants and thugish style its how they act that makes me call them an idiot and obviously those guys were idiots at least you realized the guys were out there before you went out.

I was called that today by a young thug type because I wasn't voting for Obama.

So am at the range today to squeeze off a few rounds. I enter and there are four thug looking type dudes. Of course they want to rent an AK because 50 cent raps about one. These dudes are arguing with clerk about how Obama is the man, whites have all the luck, and how BO will fix the economy. I tell them BO doesnt want you having that AK you just shot. One guy says "thats good, keep the guns away from kids".

They all pull out wads of money when the clerk tells them what they owe. So I already know theyre dope boys. So I say "you just pulled a stack of bills out, why do you care about the economy?". The govt doesnt take taxes out of your money, you make more than I do and Im not complaining.

By the way, I told the clerk to ban them, they openly admitted and bragged about having felonies. They could have been arrested on the spot for even being around guns. Idiots, they just talked themselevs out of the shooting range for good.

I'll go shoot with you the next time and see what they say....
