well the best/safest way is to LIGHTLY start it off with 1000 grit or greater sandpaper BUT be careful you dont want to take too much off. once its off you cant get it back on.
so once you start it with the sand paper then go through the steps shown in the first thread that is posted in this thread its called something like "DIY barrel polishing write up"

just teke your time AND be patient!

would Mother's mag & aluminum polish work? I'm too impatient to order stuff of the internet and it's all I could find locally.

Holy chrome batman! lol...

(was always a 'cocker kinda guy myself...)

Just quit playing about a year ago... did the PSP and NPPL thing... was a blast while it lasted.

Here was my last gun setup... built it in the end of '03.. played with it until I gave up the game...

03' vert
Worrblade
WGP Samauri Trigger
Macdev Sonic LPR
Macdev Gladiator reg
Macdev Red Valve
Macdev Sonic Hammer Kit
Macdev Ti Rod Kit
Eclipse Nexus ram
Eclipse QEV's
Shocktech Supafly Bolt
WGP Orracle Back Block
Smart Parts Angled Drop
CP On/Off
Evil Supertail
Crossfire 68/4500
Egg II with Z-Board

It was stupid fast... The cocking block looked like it was sitting open when set up correctly.

That's pretty outdated stuff to be using at PSP and NPPL games!

I stopped playing about 2-3 years ago. We were sponsored by PEVS. For local tournaments, I was using my DM5. For NPPL, we were using Planet Eclipse Egos. For our air systems, we were using either Evil or Crossfire, personally I like the LP Crossfire 68cu 450psi. As far as hoppers go, we were using Halos. I went through a lot of markers. One of them was a custom Works Autococker! It was a $1,100 mechanical cocker that shot like a dream! I miss paintball, but I don't miss all the snot nosed little punks who think they're billy badasses! The attitude in the tournament level has gotten too cocky for it's own good.

I have to say most of the mods people make to their guns, especially the cosmetic ones, hold no appeal whatsoever to me.

However, the polished barrel is very cool looking.

I tell you what, the tournament scene has gone down the drains these past few years, bad attitudes followed by even worse refs. I played college ball for Liberty University for 3 years, spent the best years of my life traveling all over playing paintball, it was great. I still play mostly pickup game stuff, but I love my ego and can't seem to part with it.

That sentence was normally followed by muffled chuckles from my teammates.... They knew what was up...
