Which would you get: FS2000 or PS90?
Which would you get, if the price of the gun itself is no object?
I like the FS2000 for the fact that it accepts the AR mags and eats the standard .223. That makes supplies more accessible and affordable. On the other hand I like the size of the PS90 and its apparent low recoil. What say you? |

FS2000. It just looks so damn cool and futuristic. Like a phaser rifle.

fs2000
its a better cal IMO and unless you are going to SBR the ps90 why go for the less powerful one of the two cartridges plus it looks cooler and ammo is easier to get. and the ammo isnt as resticted as the 5.7x28 is. you can get steel penetrater 223 ammo but not 5.7. also the 223 has a much further range then the 5.7 the point of the p90 is to handle like a submachine gun while providing a better bullet than pistol ammo. so if you choices were a semi-auto mp5 type of gun or the p90 i would say get the p90 but in this case the fs2000 is a more powerful and better weapon. now if you wanted a pistol rifle combo that shot the same cal then once again yea go with the p90 but since thats not the case there is no sence in getting it. the ps90 is a good weapon but it has a smaller niche then the fs2000. also the 223 allows a way larger bullet selection from 37 grain to 80 grain. i also dont know of any cheap bulk 5.7 ammo

If you're by Top Gun in Taylor, I do believe they have a PS90 to rent. Don't think they have am FS200, however.
All in all, since both guns are pretty much useless in civilian form, I'd go with the PS90. It'll need to be registered as a pistol...and one guy I know who just got noticed the PD put ".22 caliber pistol" as a description for it...LAWLS I just think it looks cooler, and is smaller/less bulky. Ammo is also cheaper in terms of the good stuff. Yeah, you can find Wolf, etc. .223 for cheaper. I'd also check out the FiveseveN as well, it's a fun gun to shoot.

Ya I am a bit concerned about the ammo source of the 5.7x28.... Not about the price, but about the continuation of the caliber. The price of the 5.7, which used to be quite high, has seemed to become quite comparable these days. On Ammoman the 5.7 SS195 is sold for $399 per 1k; pretty comparable to any good 5.56mm.
But I'd hate to get a caliber that eventually goes the way of the 10mm or 45GAP. |

Now that's really funny. I have also noticed the local police is not the most knowledgeable about firearms.

Well, 10mm certainly hasn't gone anywhere yet...I still see it stocked at every gun store I go to...
I don't think the 5.7 will go anywhere anytime soon, especially since it's a military round. If some nation is using it, there will be plenty of ammo. You can always reload, as well...
