Oh yeah, there is that. The government takes care of everything for them, from dental to medical to a free college education. There is a price for all that. $12 american for a PACK of cigarettes, about $8 for a beer, and food is EXPENSIVE. The reason why the US is fat is because we can afford to be. Its just not economically feasible overseas.
