Well im a curious (read nosey) kind of person so in some respects I would like to see whats going on. On the other hand I want to protect my family so I would probably move them to a safe portion of the store where I can see all avenues of approach and get them behind some type of cover and then defend our position if need be. Too bad they dont keep the ammo counter in a corner .
If I was alone and did not have my family with me, I would be more apt to try and get a peek at whats going on and lending assistance if warranted. By assistance I dont mean joining in on a shootout where the police may mistake me as a bad guy. I mean helping drag someone to safety or helping with first aid.

Wow, that happened about 1 mile away from my parents house and like 500 yards from our old house. Very strange, it's a nice newer area. I wonder why they shot the employees?

I heard on Court TV that the suspect was mentally disturbed. Plus one one why to always carry.

Story linked from front of Yahoo mentions using a 40 caliber handgun. I do hope this doesn't end up being some kind of bullshit where scoccer moms pressure walmart becomming a Criminal Protection Zone.
Yep +infinity as to why to carry everywhere.
Yet another one not professional enough to have a Glock 40

I agree with those that have said "this is why I carry everywhere" I know it is one of many reasons I do. The seemingly random nature of how this seemed to have happened means it can happen anywhere for any or NO reason at all. I don't want to be one of the many defenseless sheep out there.
I would have stayed in the store but would have found a defensive position near an exit as far away from the area where the problem is occuring. Preferrably near the ammo counter and gun cases just in case more fire power was needed. I definately wouldn't go out into the conflict area unless someone needed help and had none.
Or maybe I would get a 30-06 or .300 weatherby mag out of the gun cases and head for the roof and neutralize the threat properly. OR MAYBE NOT!

My thoughts are with the families of the victims. Hopefully the db will be found, resist and be killed. Won't bring back the victims, but it will certainly be a deterrent to the bad guy.

Who knows what these little Angels did during their off time.
Random shooting? Possible, but not likely.
