No guns in the park.

wcco.com - Father Beaten Protecting Daughter At Valleyfair

Stuff like this just makes me sick, and all the more worried about the world today.

Quote:
Valleyfair released a statement saying: "Guest and employee safety is always the top priority at Valleyfair. Valleyfair is a very safe family amusement park, and we will continue to do whatever is necessary to make it as safe as possible for our guests and employees."
I guess Valleyfair considers doing nothing is the best approach to keeping the park safe? Oh wait... "as safe as possible."

6 charged in attack on dad protecting daughter at Valleyfair

Quote:
He added that the group continued to assault other people unprovoked after the attack on the father.

WOW! What a group of real men there! Ganging up and stomping a man because he wouldn't let one grope his 12 year old daughter. I am just glad they were all caught. I hope they get the maximum sentence possible for this outrage!

The really sad thing about this is that other people just stood there and let it happen.

Where was valley Fair Security? Why did everyone just stand there while a man was beaten half dead?

This is just sick.

Where did it say everyone just stood there? All i read was that his wife and daughter stood there...then later they attacked other people unprevoked.

In situation like this not really sure what I would do, with over half dozen assaulters there.

I'll bet security is not allowed to be armed. It was late, the park was closed or closing, security was probably checking the park trying to make sure everyone was leaving.

While this is surely a terrible thing for the family, I hope he has a CCW and could not carry and be able to defend his family due to the park's regulations. This would place liability on the park for his safety (hopefully)and a high dollar jury award might persuade Gun Free Zones (GFZ) lovers to rethink their policies.

I know there are alot of "what ifs" in the above, but unfortunately, it will take something like that to get the people who like GFZ's to drop that lunacy.

Unless you have your own gang, not smart to attack one alone! Unless I had my piece, or could round up some good samaritans quick, I would probbly try to find security and not intervene.

Legal to own and carry, you should be legal to own and carry ANYWHERE! (except government places that make sense I guess, like courtrooms)

In certain parts of American Society there are people who feel it's their right to do as they wish. And if someone objects then they feel they are allowed to kick the sh1t out of that person or even kill them.

Most of these feelings stem from the fact that these individuals have been told they are "victims" their whole life. And that anything they do they do because they are "victims". They are not held accountable for anything in their youth. Society views them as "victims" and we all know that "victims" can't help doing what they do.

You want to put an end to this?

End welfare. If you don't work you don't eat.
End public housing.
Get the illegals out of the US.
Bring back corporal punishment in the schools.
No advancement in school till you can show functioning skills appropriate for the grade level.
You do the crime you do the time.
Eliminate the "Juvenile Justice" system.
Make the selling of drugs a crime punishable by 10 years in prison. Prosecute ALL dealers.
If a man fathers a child and doesn't support that child then 10 years in prison.
Any gang related activity gets you sent to jail for 6 months. Second offense gets you 2 years in prison. Third offense gets you life.
Make people, all people, accountable for what they do.
