I love "Spikisms".

And all I have to say to the others is Amen.

NFL football is great, but I LOVE college football. There is nothing like it.

Was it Jim Mora, Sr. in a rant - "PLAYOFFS"? There's more but I can't remember it exactly.

I can't believe they left out John McKay's classic...
Post game interview after getting their asses kicked:
reporter: "Coach, What did you think of your players' execution today?"
McKay:"I think its a real good idea!"

The John McKay quote (from his first season in Tampa Bay) is about the best one there ever was, with this possible execption:

Ohio State-Michigan, 1968. The Buckeyes lead 44-14 with about 1˝ minutes left. Ohio State scores a TD (makign it 50-14) and lines up for a 2-point conversion. A reporter asks Coach Woody Hayes why, in a blowout, would he go for 2 like that.

Woody briskly responds "Because we couldn't go for 3!!!!"

Spike was a character...but with Mike Leach at the helm in Lubbock...do you REALLY miss Spike?

Spike could have NEVER beat up on the Aggies like Leach and Company did last October...worth every penny!

Leach's sound bites and quotes are the best. Spike always made people from Lubbock look like a bunch of hicks. I don't miss Spike at all.

Last October? Try almost every year for the past 13 years! Let's add another ass whoopin' this fall.

What made last October's game even more sweet was the fact that I was watching it in a roomfull of die hard old Aggie family members. You know....the ones that have maroon cars and A&M logos on everything they own...totally annoying people. They were pretty quiet past halftime!

I don't care how bad Tech screws up during the football season...as long as they trounce Texas A&M. Talk about a group with huge ego issues.

I swear this man found the fountain of youth that Ponce de Leon was looking for here. He looks 20 years younger than the 78 that he is. He'll probably quit coaching 6 months following his death.
