That must be right, thats why there gov. is trying to stop it from raining.

It's rather too bad you didn't get the whole report from China.

They are already affecting the weather! Beijing has some of the worst smog on the planet; some days a mask is required. For the Olympics they will shut down the worst polluters about a week before the start of the games-a complete shutdown. They are banning 1/2 their automobile traffic and factories and industry as far away as 300 miles will be monitored for any possible problems blowing into the city.

The cloud seeding is just another part of the hoped for solution-they plan to 'wash the air' with this stimulated rain. They also appear to be cheating in some ways: moving pollution detectors from the city to the suburbs.

From all appearances, they know the problem and are moving to make some changes and employ some very sophisticated equipment to monitor the situation. When these measures fall short or fail, expect them to be prepared to release some of their best spin doctors on the foreign media. Bottled water and canned air should be popular concessions.

This sounds like when I would shove all the crap in my room under my bed so it looked cleans when my parents would "inspect" it...only to tear it all apart again right when they left.
