Thanks all, for the kind words for Josh and his family.

Rather than focus on my sadness, I would like to focus on Josh a little.

Josh was a full-time officer with Twinsburg. He was a K-9 officer, and his canine partner was with him at all times. He was very proud of his canine. Josh also was a part-time officer at a second department, Uniontown, using his experience to train other rookie officers there. He was an entrepeneur, running a successful pizza shop franchise. He was an accomplished guitarist, and performed in a local rock band. His wife was an officer from a neighboring department. They just had a baby about 3 months ago. He was a very proud father, and used every spare minute to talk about his baby. Fellow officer said he had 8 photos of his girl on his desk. Many people knew Josh, and no one ever had a bad word to say about him.

.

We lost such a good person when we lost Josh.

RIP Josh. I am going to miss our Thursday night conversations over a cold one. There are a lot of people keeping a watchful eye over your family, pal.

I also want to add, for the officers on this forum, that I greatly respect your brotherhood and what you do for each other. There has been a marked cruiser perched in their driveway, continuously, since the news broke. It is almost as if various departments are sharing the responsiblity in watching over his family. What an honorable thing to do.

I've been to far too many funerals such as this for brothers and sisters in blue.

Prayers on the way!

What started off as super Monday turned to great sadness after reading your post luvmysigp225. How senseless, how sad. I really wish I could have met Josh in my lifetime. It sounds like he was one heckuva guy. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and his family.

Very sad, God be with you and especially with her. I had to start over reading your post a lot, because the brand new baby + the picture of him made me freeze up and just want to bawl. What a world.
