what a terrible tragedy.....

isnt it true that the most dangerous task in ANY law enforcement area is the patrolmans traffic stop??????

Yeah, we get in more violent situations on traffic stops than anything else except for domestic fight calls. There is no such thing as a "routine" traffic stop; they are all unknown risk events. Disgustingly, the suspect will probably get 25 years, but be out on parole in 5.

That's a fault of the so called "Justice System".

Here in Oregon the citizens got so fed up with this type of crap we passed Measure 11 a few years ago. A murder conviction gets you Death, True Life, or Life with no parole for at least 25-30 years. The Judges have no say. it's the law. Needless to say violent crime is down.
