Most Complicated Contraption?

I just took the new car seat out of the box and got it in the Expedition for the impending birth, perhaps next Thursday. The instructions are not the best to describe how to properly route the straps around this and under that. I got it in and tied down good, but damn it was pain in the butt. I thought I was going to have to go to the fire station like I have seen on some shows.

you might still want to take it to the fire/police dpmt. I put ours in and thought t was fine and dandy. My wife took it by and they put it in so much tighter... it didn't even budge after they took care of it.

I think that is what I am probably going to do. This is not something I want to mess up.

Don't use the seatbelts to hold the seat in . If you car is new enough you will have Child seat tether points on the seat and either on top of the rear seats if you have a trunk or on the back of the seats if you have a hatch back.

The tethers on the seat hold it much more securely than a seatbelt. And the little kiddy can't hit the seatbelt button while going down the road.

I can get mine tight enough that you can't budge the kiddy seat at all.
