My grandmother raised 2 kids all by herself off being a waitress. They work their ass off doing that job, I always tip a minimum of $5 no matter what the bill is. They are not working there because they enjoy it, they do it to make a living.
I agree that its not right to assume, but I would not have made a stink over $4. -Derek |

whether people think i'm wrong or not has no bearing. Just sharing a life experience. If i were afraid that people would think i'm wrong i'd probably never post anything on here.
I think the waitress was in the wrong. I don't think that soup salad and breadsticks deserves a 4 dollar tip. and i don't think its right that she assumed she was getting a 4 dollar tip. Your mileage may vary.
