LOL you think that was a put down? I just think it's fishy to say the least that the VERY FIRST post by someone on a gun board is to tell everyone how much he loves his phone and how much it will change your life for the better.

I think you have a right to be a bit suspicious when someone makes there first post on something that's a bit off topic. He may or may not be a troll or Apple shill, I don't know.

BTW, I did order the new iPhone yesterday and hope to have the 16GB (black) sometime next week though it wouldn't shock me if it takes a couple weeks. I don't have the original iPhone as I was still 9 months away from the end of my 2-year Verizon contract and I figured v2.0 would be better than v1.0.

Now i have to find someone that want my 8 month old iTouch (16GB).

Actually, I just recently joined this forum as I bought my first Springfield. I've been lurking, trying to learn what I could from folks who have more experience with them than I. When I have something substantive to add to the Springfield discussion, I will. Until then, I'll learn.

However, technology is something I know quite a bit about. PCs, Macs, Windows, Mobile devices (as well as motorcycles, Corvettes, bass guitars and Kimber 1911s) - I have quite a bit of experience.

Sorry my "first post" didn't meet your expectations. Well, actually I'm not THAT sorry...

I don't expect anyone to be sorry for anything they say.

Cool. I look forward to being part of this forum. Seems like a fun place.

Posted this while sitting in the theater waiting for the previews to start using my iPhone, btw...

LOL.

I have this phone

Not a whole lot of internet ability on that one. Pics and ringtones are about it.

I recently broke the nub off the top but I'm way too much of a cheap bastage to get a new phone. My father in law told me he has a hookup at a verizon store and was going to be getting me another model for free. We'll see.

I do move forward in technology but I'm usually a few "generations" of gadgets behind everyone else because once again I'm a cheap bastage and I'll wait for the popularity to die out before getting one.

so, iphone users...what apps are you enjoying, now that the app store has been up and running for a few weeks? i have found yelp and the google app useful, as well as shazam and weatherbug. mobile news rocks, and netnewswire (works with newgator.com) is great for any rss feeds you'd like to stay up on...and the texas hold'em game is pretty darn good! just curious if what others are finding useful...

I think pandora music is one of the best apps available. It's like aol radio on roids. Myself my wife and about 4 friends are all on loopt. This program gets better with each update. It's a location based friend locator. Once you refresh it will tell everyone where you are. You can stay hidden as well or ping a friend asking them where they are. This is handy on social nights and people haven't shown. I also use the google app, eBay app, Shazam is awesome (hold it up to a playing song and it will tell you the artist song name and album plus give you a link to buy it in iTunes). And let's not forget the electronic bible.
