These people need to watch the movie - IN SEARCH OF THE SECOND AMENDMENT.
Netflix doesn't have it. I was going to rent it.

In doing so, they have curtailed the power of the legislatures and the city councils to protect their citizens.

...and they have been doing such a bang up job in Chicago.

IMO the 2A is there directly as a result of and for protection from the abuse of power. The ruling was correct, get over it and accept it.

Correct me if im wrong, but didnt Thomas Jefferson say something like "for a balanced and fair government the people need to have a revolution every 20 years"...or something similar.

It's really interesting to me that all this fuss has come about on the 2A is supposed to be interpreted. It seems everyone is saying the wording is ambiguous and the intention in which it was written by our founding fathers is unclear and needs to be studied. But it seems to me that it is very clear and should anyone have any wonderment about what the intention of the words are to mean (i.e. State Militia or citizens) all they have to do is read the writings of our founding fathers like Thomas Jefferson, George Washington and so forth. You don't have to be an expert in Constitutional law to check out a library book and understand what they meant in their own words. I feel people are looking at wrong documentation and listening to the wrong people when the original authors thoughts and feelings are in front of us. JIMHO

anyone who actively calls for the repeal of any of the amendments of the bill of rights should be considered an enemy of the state.
