I'm not taking it the wrong way and understand your point.

Question here is, what happened to making the punishment fit the crime?

A letter of reprimand in his file should be enough. A slap on the wrist.

Making him ineligible for reserve service and income, especially after serving honorably for 35 years, is way too harsh IMO.

Dontcha think?

When you get a job as a bureaucrat, what is it they do to you before you start to make you that stupid?

It's obvious that somebody had it in for him and used the opportunity to screw him over before he retired.

+1... I am sure that he wasn't on the road that day... Probably getting his things together, doing paperwork, shaking hands and saying goodbyes. As far as I'm concerned he could have went to work in shorts and a t shirt.. Someone didn't like him plain and simple.
